Sam Turner

Sam Turner is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in various senior roles within the transport and retail sectors. Currently serving as Group Finance Director at Network Rail since October 2025, Sam has previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer at East West Railway Company and spent over a decade at Network Rail in multiple finance leadership positions, including Commercial Director and Finance Director for various divisions. Additional experience includes a Non-Executive Director role at NHS Northamptonshire and various finance-related positions at Home Retail Group PLC. Sam holds an Executive MBA from Cranfield University, is CIMA qualified, and has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Northampton.
