Melissa Tuarez Herr

Melissa Tuarez Herr is currently serving as Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Neuberger Berman since March 2024. Previously, Melissa worked as an Attorney in the Registered Funds practice at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP from November 2022 to February 2024, and as an Attorney in Asset Management and Investment Funds at K&L Gates from September 2016 to November 2022. Melissa began legal career as a Summer Associate at K&L Gates and Arent Fox in 2015 and was awarded a 1L Diversity Scholar position at Arent Fox in 2014. Early experience includes roles as a Paralegal in international litigation and arbitration at Foley Hoag LLP and public international law at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, as well as a Legal Assistant at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Melissa holds a Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs, Justice Studies, and Latin American Studies from James Madison University.
