Sam Porat

Sam Porat serves as Managing Director at Neuberger Berman since June 2004, leading Royalty and Alternative Yield Investments, which encompasses two dedicated private equity strategies, including the Athyrium Opportunities Funds with approximately $5 billion in commitments focused on structured credit investments in the life sciences sector. Sam co-founded Marquee Brands in 2013, working alongside Zachary Sigel, and developed it into a prominent global brand ownership and marketing entity backed by investor funds managed by Neuberger Berman. Prior professional experience includes roles as Director of Strategic Planning at Alfy.com from 1999 to 2001 and as an Analyst at Lehman Brothers from 1997 to 1999. Sam holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School (2002-2004) and a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies from Yale University (1993-1997).
