Hugo Sobrino

Hugo Sobrino is an experienced information security professional currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the State of Neuchâtel, focusing on IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). Previously, Hugo held the position of Head of IT and CISO at Alpstone Capital, where a cybersecurity framework aligned with ISO 27001 was developed, and the IT infrastructure transitioned to a hybrid cloud model. At Viking Cruises, Hugo established a security function within the EMEA region, implementing risk assessments and security awareness programs. In the United Nations Office at Geneva, as Deputy CISO, actionable insights were provided to enhance incident response and mitigate security risks. Hugo began the IT career at NS PARTNERS as Head of IT Security and Infrastructure and also worked as a System Administrator in the State of Geneva. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Information Systems Security Management from the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland and a Federal Certificate in Media Informatics.
