Joe (Chao-Yang) Kao

Joe (Chao-Yang) Kao has over 8 years of experience in the technology industry. Joe (Chao-Yang) started their career in 2011 as a Technical Manager at Novatek Microelectronics Corp., where they were the inventor of Novatek T-con 2X and 3X near lossless image compression qualified by Apple, Amazon, Samsung, LG, Sony, Sharp, Panasonic, etc., as well as the inventor of Novatek T-con 4X and 6X image compression qualified by AUO, INX, BOE, Sharp, etc. Joe (Chao-Yang) was also responsible for picture quality optimization and architecture design for LCD overdriving. In 2018, they moved to National Tsing Hua University as a Researcher. Most recently, they have been Chief Technology Officer at NEUCHIPS-CORPORATION since 2019.

Joe (Chao-Yang) Kao earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from National Tsing Hua University in 2009. Prior to that, they earned their Master's Degree in Computer Science from the same university in 2005.
