Shantanu Sarkar

Shantanu Sarkar began their work experience as a Principal Software Engineer at Unisys from 1982 to 1989. Shantanu then joined Microsoft in 1992, where they held various technical and management roles over a period of more than 20 years. Shantanu'smost recent role at Microsoft was the Services CTO for the Business Productivity solution areas, leading a $150M business focused on solutions such as Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange, Lync, and Project Server. In 2012, Sarkar joined Neudesic as the VP of Solutions and Innovation, responsible for driving innovation consulting and managing the company's line of business solutions and offerings, particularly in the areas of analytics, visualization, mobility, and social collaboration. Sarkar's expertise lies in leveraging technology to deliver business value to customers.

Shantanu Sarkar pursued their undergraduate studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay between 1975 and 1980. Shantanu obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree with a focus on Electrical Engineering. Following this, they enrolled at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1980 to 1982 to pursue a Master of Science degree in Computer and Systems Engineering.
