Babak Hassibi

Babak Hassibi has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering and technology. Babak co-founded Neural Propulsion Systems, Inc. in 2018 and serves as the Chief Technologist. Prior to this, Babak held several roles at Caltech, including Mose and Lilian S Bohn Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computing and Mathematical Sciences from 2016 onwards. Babak also worked as the Gordon M. Binder/Amgen Professor and Executive Officer of Electrical Engineering since they joined Caltech in 2001. Before joining Caltech, Babak was a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Labs Lucent Technologies from 1998 to 2000. Babak began their career as a Research Associate at Stanford University from 1996 to 1998.

Babak Hassibi obtained their PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University between the years 1991 and 1996.
