Matthew Tarca has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Matthew began their career as a Facilities Engineer at Bhoeringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, where they supervised laboratory renovations and managed retrofitting projects. Matthew then joined Hamilton Sundstrand as an Engine and Control Systems Engineer, where they developed LabVIEW software and collaborated with Boeing Corporation on test parameters. Matthew later worked as an Embedded Design Consultant at EcoAir before pursuing their Power Electronics Graduate Study at The University of Connecticut, where their research focused on system-level topologies for smart grids and fuel cell power systems. Matthew gained experience as a Senior Firmware Engineer at DRS Technologies, Inc., working on projects related to power electronics, control theory, and advanced power distribution systems. Matthew then joined SunCulture Solar as a Power Electronics/Embedded Systems Engineer, contributing to the design and architecture of electrical and firmware systems. Matthew further expanded their expertise at GoPro as a System Engineer and Power Systems Engineer, specializing in hardware design and architecture for consumer electronics. Before their current position as an Electrical Engineer Lead at Neuralink, Matthew worked at Zipline, where they held multiple roles, including Responsible Engineer and Electrical Engineer, contributing to the design and development of drones and power systems.

Matthew Tarca completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Connecticut from 2005 to 2009. Matthew then pursued a Master of Science degree specializing in Power Electronics at the same university from 2010 to 2013.
