Vikas Mohan Sharma

Vikas Mohan Sharma is the Chief Medical Officer at Neuraxpharm, a leading European pharmaceutical company focused on central nervous system disorders, since February 2025. Sharma also serves as an Ethics Review Expert for the European Research Council, contributing to various ethics panels under FP7 and Horizon 2020 programs since August 2012. Previous experience includes positions such as Global Head of Neuroscience and Ophthalmology at Fortrea and Global Head of Medicine CNS, Retinopathies & Emerging Areas at Boehringer Ingelheim. In the latter role, Sharma oversaw the clinical development of pharmacological and digital assets. Earlier career highlights include leadership roles at Quintiles, where Sharma championed medical and scientific initiatives across Asia Pacific and served as a consultant psychiatrist at VIMHANS in New Delhi. Sharma holds an MD in Psychological Medicine from GS Medical College & KEM Hospital and a Mini MBA in Business Development through Innovation from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
