Aidan Loughrey

Aidan Loughrey is a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in research and development within the medical device industry. Currently serving as a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Neurent Medical since May 2021, Aidan previously held a similar position at Boston Scientific from July 2016 to April 2021, contributing to the successful FDA approval of the innovative Lotus valve. Earlier experience includes a role as a Manufacturing Engineer at Medtronic Vascular during an 8-month work placement, where Aidan provided technical support for the production of bare metal stents, and another 8-month work placement as a Research and Development Engineer focused on marketing a new catheter device. Aidan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Galway, earned between 2012 and 2016, and completed secondary education at St. Josephs College Garbally Ballinasloe from 2006 to 2012.
