Dr Mohammad Mofatteh

Founder at Neuro International Collaboration (NIC)

Dr Mohammad Mofatteh is a co-founder of Neuro International Collaboration (NIC), a research group focused on supporting researchers in the fields of neuroscience, neurobiology, psychiatry, and neurosurgery. Dr Mohammad is also an editorial board member for PLOS, an editor for Frontiers, and a book reviewer for Springer Nature Group. In addition, Dr Mofatteh is a member of various professional organizations including the Royal Society of Medicine, The Royal College of Surgeons of England, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the Association of Surgeons in Training, the Healthcare Leadership Academy, and the Institute of Health & Social Care Management.

Dr. Mohammad Mofatteh has a diverse education history. Dr Mohammad obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Obstetrics (MB BCh BAO) from Queen's University Belfast. Dr Mohammad also holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Cambridge, which they earned at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB). Dr. Mofatteh further enhanced their education by obtaining a Master of Public Health (MPH) from The University of Sheffield and a Master of Science (MSc) in Psychology from the University of Liverpool. Dr Mohammad also acquired a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (PGCert TLHE) from the University of Oxford. In addition, they have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours in Biomedical Science from King's College London. Dr. Mofatteh completed their high school education and pre-university foundation at the National Organization for the Development of Exceptional Talents (Sampad).

Aside from their degrees, Dr. Mofatteh has obtained several certificates to expand their knowledge and skills. Dr Mohammad holds certifications in various aspects of anatomy from the University of Michigan, including cardiovascular, urinary, and respiratory systems; gastrointestinal, reproductive, and endocrine systems; human neuroanatomy; and musculoskeletal and integumentary systems. Dr Mohammad also completed the Healthcare Leadership Academy Basic Level One from The Healthcare Leadership Academy and the Surgical Skills for Students program from The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
