Sean Lavin

Sean Lavin's work experience includes founding and serving as the CEO of Alpha Lavin Advisors LLC, where they assist medical device, diagnostic, digital health, and gene therapy companies in accessing capital and provides strategic guidance on topics such as FDA planning, sales and marketing, and exit strategies. Sean worked as a Business Development and Investor Relations professional at Contraline, Inc. and Expanding Innovations. Additionally, they worked in business development at neuro42, focusing on investment and M&A opportunities in the neuro-interventional space. Sean also served as a Strategic Advisory Board Member at MI-VAD, INC. and as the Vice President of Strategy, Business Development, and Investor Relations at Progenity, Inc. Prior to these roles, they held positions at BTIG, Lazard Capital Markets, and Oppenheimer & Co, specializing in medical technology research and analysis.

Sean Lavin completed their undergraduate education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1993 to 1997. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Following their undergraduate studies, Sean attended The Ohio State University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Medical Doctor (MD) degree, specializing in Medicine.

In addition to their degrees, Sean has also obtained several certifications. Sean became a Medical Doctor through The Ohio State University in June 2002. Sean also holds various certifications related to finance, including the Series 7, 63, 79, 86, and 87, which were obtained through FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
