Stephen Ramgren has a diverse work experience in the field of science and research. Stephen started as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UC Irvine from January 2008 to June 2009. Stephen then worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UCLA from September 2009 to June 2013, while also holding the position of Graduate Research Assistant from August 2009 to January 2014.
After completing their education, Stephen joined the University of Texas at Austin as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from February 2014 to May 2016. During this time, they successfully applied for and received a grant funded by the American Cancer Society and worked on the total synthesis of leiodermatolide.
In 2016, Stephen started working at Neurocrine Biosciences as a Research Scientist. Stephen gradually moved up the ranks, becoming a Senior Scientist in July 2020. In this role, they took the lead on two projects in the CNS space simultaneously, managing project logistics, team strategies, and cross-functional collaborations. Stephen also mentored a small team and acted as a liaison between in-house chemistry and international CRO.
Finally, Stephen currently holds the position of Principal Scientist at Neurocrine Biosciences, starting in February 2023.
Stephen Ramgren completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from UC Irvine from 2005 to 2009. Stephen then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry at UCLA from 2009 to 2014.
