Biophysical Head Modeling Specialist at Neuroelectrics

Pauline Martens has held three positions since 2020. Pauline is currently a Biophysical Head Modeling Specialist at Neuroelectrics, a role they began in 2022. Prior to this, they were a Research Engineer at the Royal Military Academy in Belgium from 2020 to 2022. In this role, they used Python-based geographic data processing to develop AI-based systems and modelling environment to create situational awareness maps and conduct threat analysis. Additionally, they were a Research Intern at Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya from 2020 to 2020, where they applied Machine Learning techniques such as convolutional neural networks to develop novel ways of predicting solar radiation short-term in the province of Catalonia, based on data of the past decade. The main tool used was Python.

Pauline Martens has a diverse educational background. Pauline began their studies in 2013, earning a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Astronomy from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2017. Pauline then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2019. That same year, they also attended The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University for a course in Biomedical Engineering. In 2019, they also earned a Master's degree in Modelling for Science and Engineering from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Additionally, they completed a BEST Course in Data Science from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
