Colin Howden

Colin Howden, M.D., is emeritus professor of medicine, division of gastroenterology, University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Memphis. Trained in internal medicine, gastroenterology and clinical pharmacology and board-certified in gastroenterology until 2025, Dr. Howden has contributed to the understanding of GI and internal medicine for more than four decades. He was senior attending physician and professor of medicine at several academic medical centers and made vast contributions to research, scientific publications, books and with medical groups. He also has advised pharmaceutical companies on clinical trials, professional education and marketing and was principal of Strategic Consultants International (SCI) plc, a medical communications and consulting agency.
