NeuroInitiative
Spring Behrouz has a diverse background in the field of drug discovery and computational tools. Spring first worked as a Doctoral student at Michigan State University, conducting research on Parkinson's disease and the resistance of dopamine neurons to degeneration. Spring then gained post-doctoral experience at Mayo Clinic, focusing on drug discovery and collaborating with various interdisciplinary teams. In 2014, they co-founded Neuroinitiative, LLC, a computational drug discovery company that aims to develop and utilize advanced tools in the fight against neurodegenerative diseases. Currently, they serve as the CEO of Vincere Biosciences, demonstrating their leadership skills in the field.
Spring Behrouz received a PhD in Neuroscience from Michigan State University, completing the program between 2004 and 2008.

NeuroInitiative
Neuroinitiative is dedicated to the advancement of research and understanding of the two most common neurodegenerative disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s Disease. Neuroinitiative combines cutting edge scientific and technological capabilities to create a four dimensional navigation system of pathways inside the neuron. This computersimulation shows great promise in helping researchers simplify, unravel, and understand the complexity of the neuron. Research on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s is of utmost importance since there is currently no cure for either disease, which together affect nearly 50 million people worldwide.
