Kimon Froussios is a Bioinformatician currently employed at NEUROLENTECH GmbH since October 2023. Previously, Kimon worked as a Bioinformatics Specialist at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) from November 2021 to December 2022, focusing on NGS transcriptomics and results dashboarding for the Busslinger lab, and from March 2019 to September 2021, providing NGS transcriptomics support and data visualization for the Zuber, Pavri, and Obenauf labs, including CRISPR screens. Kimon's earlier experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at The University of Dundee from October 2015 to June 2018, where collaboration with bioinformaticians, computer scientists, and molecular plant biologists centered on transcription termination in Arabidopsis thaliana through RNA-Seq data analysis. Kimon holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from King's College London (2009-2015), an MSc in Bioinformatics from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon (2006-2008), and a BSc (Hons) in Biology from the same institution (2002-2006).
