Jia Zhou

Jia Zhou is a highly experienced bioinformatician with a robust background in medical research and epidemiology. Currently serving as a Principal Bioinformatician at Velsera since January 2023, Jia has previously held the same title at PierianDx from February 2015 to January 2023, as well as a Senior Bioinformatician position. Early career experiences include a role as a Medical Officer at Suzhou CDC from December 2007 to August 2008, and a Research Assistant at the Division of Biostatistics at Washington University in St. Louis from June 2006 to July 2007. Jia's medical background includes an internship at Shanghai Tongji Hospital from June 2004 to July 2005. Academically, Jia holds a Ph.D. from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (2008-2014), an MS in Genetic Epidemiology from Washington University in St. Louis (2005-2007), and an MD in Clinical Medicine from Suzhou Medical College (2000-2005).
