Carissa Dunn

Carissa Dunn has extensive work experience in scientific research and teaching. Carissa is currently working as a Scientist II at Neuron23 since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Scientist at the same company from March 2020 to June 2022.

Carissa Dunn also has experience in academia. Carissa worked at the University of California, Merced from 2013 to 2019. During this time, they served as a Doctoral Candidate and Graduate Teaching Associate from June 2014 to December 2019. Carissa also worked as a Laboratory Assistant from July 2013 to May 2014.

In addition, Carissa Dunn worked as a Lead Tutor at Naylor Learning Center from January 2010 to May 2013. Carissa gained research experience as a Summer Research Intern at the University of Utah in 2012 and at West Virginia University in 2011, both during the summer months.

Carissa obtained their Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Biology and Chemistry from Davis and Elkins College, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Quantitative and Systems Biology at the University of California, Merced, from 2014 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, Carissa also obtained a certification in Crucial Conversations from VitalSmarts in June 2019.
