Process Engineer IV at Neurona Therapeutics

Olga Kuzmenko has over 18 years of experience in the biotechnology and life sciences industry. In 2002, they began their career as a Research Study Assistant at Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (NMAPE). In 2004, they were an Associate Research Engineer at the Department of Cell Biology, Institute of Biotechnology LLC. From 2005-2018, they were a Research Staff, Head of Cell Bank Production & Storage at Biotestlab. From 2009-2016, they were a Research Scientist at Karolinska Institutet. From 2016-2022, they were a Life Science Research Professional at Stanford University School of Medicine, where they developed and implemented new cell culture protocols that resulted in a 10X increase in cell yield. Currently, they are a Process Engineer III at Neurona Therapeutics, where they contribute towards the development, optimization, and scale-up of cell culture, harvest, fill, cryopreservation, and thaw processes for interneuron manufacturing from pluripotent cells.

Olga Kuzmenko graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Technology and Engineering. In 2004, they earned a Master of Science in Industrial Biotechnology from the same university.
