Jerry (Chiu-Hsien) Chan has a diverse background in analog IC design and engineering, with experience in various industries. Jerry (Chiu-Hsien) started their career at IBM Global Services as an IT specialist, leading a team and managing service contracts. After that, they worked at the Information Sciences Institute as a research assistant, where they developed the world's first hippocampus neuron modeling IC and designed a biomedical amplifier. Jerry (Chiu-Hsien) then joined St. Jude Medical as an Analog IC Designer, focusing on designing critical circuits for biomedical implant telemetry applications. Jerry (Chiu-Hsien) later moved to Aptina as a Senior Analog IC Designer and then to SanDisk as a Senior Analog IC Designer, before joining Western Digital as a Principal analog IC design engineer. In these roles, they worked on non-volatile memory SOC design and block-level design and verification. Currently, they are working at NeuroPace as a Principal Design Engineer, specializing in low noise, low power sensing front-end design and implantable medical devices design and verification.
Jerry (Chiu-Hsien) Chan holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, which they obtained between the years 2001 and 2008. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at the National Taiwan University from 1996 to 1998. Jerry Chan began their academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Tsing Hua University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996.
