Alfred Ogden has been working in the medical field since 2007. Alfred began their career at Northwestern University as a Fellow in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. In 2008, they moved to Columbia University as an Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery. Alfred also worked at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital as the Director of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. From 2008 to 2019, they were the Director of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at Valley Health System. In 2019, they became the Chief Medical Officer at Neurosurgeons Of New Jersey.
Alfred Ogden obtained their BS in Biology from Yale University in 1993. Alfred then went on to earn their MD from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2000. Following this, they completed a Neurological Surgery program at New York Presbyterian Hospital/ The Neurological Institute from 2000 to 2007. In 2008, they earned a Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Fellowship from Northwestern University and was also granted a Doctor of Medicine from the State of New Jersey and the New York State Department of Health. Finally, in 2012, they were granted Board Certification in Neurosurgery from the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
