Michael Panzara

Michael Panzara is an accomplished medical executive with extensive experience in the field of neurology. Currently serving as Chief Medical Officer at Neurvati Neurosciences since October 2022, Michael previously held key leadership roles at Wave Life Sciences, including CMO and Head of Therapeutics Discovery and Development, from July 2016 to October 2022. Prior to that, Michael worked at Sanofi Genzyme from October 2009 to July 2016 as Head of the Multiple Sclerosis, Neurology, and Ophthalmology Therapeutic Area in Global Development. Michael's early career included positions at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School as Assistant in Neurology and Instructor in Neurology, respectively, from 2000 to 2011, as well as serving as VP and CMO of Neurology at Biogen Idec from June 2001 to September 2009. Michael holds an MD from Stanford University School of Medicine, an MPH from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and a BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania.
