Todd Haines has extensive experience in plasma physics and radiographic measurements, currently serving as a consultant in the Plasma Physics Branch at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory and as a distinguished scientist at the Nevada National Security Site since April 2020. Haines has been affiliated with Los Alamos National Laboratory as a guest scientist since December 1993, contributing to research as a scientist and team leader, focusing on radiographic measurement techniques and innovative imaging systems. Previous positions include research faculty at the University of Maryland from May 1987 to November 1993 and a student research assistant at the University of California, Irvine, from March 1979 to April 1987. Haines holds a Ph.D. in Physics from UC Irvine, earned in 1986.
