Previously, Scotty held various roles at the University of Nevada, Reno, including Director of Cyberinfrastructure, where responsibilities encompassed strategic planning and managing high-performance computing services, as well as contributing to research funding proposals and technology R&D. With a background in environmental research, project logistics, and geographic information systems, Scotty's extensive experience spans over two decades, culminating in a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Nevada, Reno, earned in 2016.
