Edwin Elfmann

Edwin Elfmann is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in agricultural finance and policy. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Agricultural and Rural Banking Policy at the American Bankers Association since June 2012, Edwin leads efforts in policy development and government relations while also serving as the Vice President of Congressional Relations, focusing on agricultural initiatives. In addition to this role, Edwin is a Village Trustee for the Village of Northfield, having been elected in April 2025. Previously, Edwin worked as an Agricultural Legislative Assistant for Congressman Steve King, where responsibilities included managing agricultural policy and constituent issues. Early career experiences include positions at the U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Corn Growers Association, where fundraising and political action committee management were key roles. Edwin holds a Master's degree in Political Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Hamline University.
