Kirsten Sutton has extensive experience in congressional relations and legislative affairs, currently serving as Executive Vice President at the American Bankers Association since October 2020, where also serves as Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the Card Policy Council. Prior to this role, Kirsten was Chief of Staff at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from February 2018 to October 2020. Kirsten's career includes significant positions in the House Financial Services Committee, where Kirsten held roles as Staff Director and Deputy Staff Director from January 2013 to January 2018. Additionally, Kirsten served as Financial Services Policy Advisor and Legislative Director for Congressman Jeb Hensarling and as Legislative Assistant for Congressman Tom Price. With early experience as a Legislative Analyst and Assistant, Kirsten developed a solid foundation in policy and legislative processes. Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science from Wheaton College.
