Katherine Portnoy

Katherine Portnoy currently serves as the Communications Director for the Education Policy Program at New America, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Katherine Portnoy was with The Brookings Institution from September 2018 to June 2023, where responsibilities included managing communications for the Center for Universal Education, editing publications, providing strategic guidance, and overseeing multimedia production. Katherine Portnoy's earlier experience includes a tenure at The Pew Charitable Trusts from May 2010 to August 2018, where roles ranged from Senior Associate to Administrative Assistant, focusing on communications related to antibiotic resistance and human health in industrial farming. Katherine Portnoy holds a B.A. in International Affairs from Lafayette College.
