New American Leaders
Kiana Abbady, M.A., is an accomplished Program Manager at New American Leaders since January 2020, where efforts focus on recruiting and training first and second-generation immigrants, particularly women, to pursue political office. Responsibilities include one-on-one consultations for candidates, coordination of an alumni network, and development of programming addressing race and gender issues. Kiana previously served as Chief of Staff for the Nassau County Legislature and the New York State Assembly, overseeing staff management, legislative research, community events, and grant applications. Kiana has also held campaign management and field directing roles, contributing to successful electoral efforts. Kiana holds a Joint BA/MA in Political Science and Government from LIU Post.
