Gienah Barrera

Gienah Barrera is a seasoned professional in the fashion industry with extensive experience in technical design, particularly in women's apparel. Currently serving as Senior Technical Design Manager at New Balance since June 2009, Gienah has held various roles including Technical Design Manager and Technical Design Lead, contributing significantly to the New Balance Apparel Team. Prior to this, experience includes a Technical Designer position at Briggs NY, where development of the line was facilitated as a liaison between design, patternmaking, and production. Gienah also worked as an Assistant Technical Designer at Elie Tahari, managing product development communication and line reviews, and gained foundational experience at Calvin Klein and as an apprentice at John Anthony Couture. Gienah holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion/Apparel Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, completed in 2007.
