Mary Butler is the President & CEO at NEW BRUNSWICK COMMUNITY COLLEGE. Prior to their current role, they were the Reference Instruction Librarian and Learning Resources Coordinator at Miller-Motte College in Wilmington, NC. In this role, they contributed to the development of the college's objectives and services, conducted student LRC orientation and information literacy sessions, and managed the Penn Foster, Online High School Degree Program.
Before their work at Miller-Motte College, Mary was the Administrative Assistant for Brunswick Community College's Small Business Center. In this role, they oversaw the online training programs for the Small Business Center in Brunswick County. Along with monitoring the programs via Zoom, they maintained files and proper attendance information, scheduled workshops, and followed up with instructors and attendees.
Mary has also been a Yoga Instructor at Brunswick Forest and an Executive Assistant at Tidal Wave Construction. Prior to their work in these roles, they were Office Manager/ Customer Services at OpinionLab, A Verint Company.
Mary Butler has a masters in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University and a BA in Art Mary'story and Psychology from Mary Baldwin University. Mary is also certified from the North Carolina Board of Realtors in Real Estate Broker/Sales Agent.

The New Brunswick Community College Saint John Campus offers high-quality, job oriented, educational and training opportunities on a full time basis in areas of academic studies, business, information technology, health and human development, mechanical/industrial, electronics and trades. Each year, the college also provides training to hundreds of apprentices of various trades and to thousands of people on a part-time basis. The Academic Studies program is a full time regular program for obtaining credits or upgrading. Many high school subjects are also offered through the Correspondence Service and through the Continuing Education Program. Other courses are also offered through on-line learning. An orientation to the General Education Development (GED) program is also offered through the Distance Education Program. Under the Contract Training Department, specially designed contract training exists for agencies, businesses, and industries. Comprehensive apprenticeship trades training programs are also offered through Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Services. Co-operative education programs are also offered.
