Barbara Porto

Barbara Porto has a diverse work experience. Barbara started their career in 2006 as a Special Educator at the NYC Department of Education and worked there until 2010. In 2010, they became a Tutor and worked independently until 2014. From 2012 to 2013, they concurrently worked as an Assessment Consultant and Learning Specialist at Ethical Culture Fieldston School. In the same year, they also worked as a Soprano at Opera Singers Initiative, Ltd. From 2012 to 2018, Barbara worked as an Independent Music Professional. Barbara'smost recent position was the Director of Communications at New Camerata Opera, where they started in 2015 and is still currently employed.

Barbara Porto has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music and Psychology from Occidental College. Barbara also holds a Master of Music degree in Performance (Voice) from Brooklyn College. Additionally, they have a Master of Science degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Elementary Special Education Programs from Hunter College. Barbara obtained their high school diploma from Mater Dei High School. Barbara also completed another Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, this time in Psychology, from Occidental College.
