Patricio Alvarez

Patricio Alvarez is currently the PV Design Engineering Manager at New Columbia Solar. Prior to this, they worked as a Solar Works DC Trainee with GRID Alternatives from March to May 2018. There, they acquired solar installation skills through in-classroom workshops and gained on-site experience through 10 residential solar PV installations. Patricio also earned a CPR/First Aid and OSHA 10 Certificate. In November 2011, they began working as a Project Officer in Energy Efficiency with Marco Renovables S.L, where they were responsible for conducting energy audits, overseeing the installation of thermal systems, and promoting energy efficiency programs.

Patricio Alvarez received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja. Patricio also has a Certificate in Innovation and Sustainable Development I+D+i from Escuela de Organización Industrial. Additionally, they have an Associate's degree in Solar Energy Technology from CIFP Aguas Nuevas. Patricio also has certification from edX in Certificado Verificado de edX para el curso Liderando el Desarrollo Sostenible de las Ciudades and certification from NABCEP: North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners in NABCEP Associate Certificate.

Patricio Alvarez reports to Mike Healy, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Nicole Marandino - COO, Nico Rios - O&M Manager, and Maulik Patel - Director of Technology.
