Thiathu Malaka

Thiathu Malaka has extensive experience in the engineering and project management sectors, currently serving as Managing Director at LWENDO INDUSTRIES PTY since October 2013, where responsibilities include project management. Concurrently, Thiathu holds the position of Senior Fitter at New Concept Mining since April 2010, focusing on preventative maintenance and overseeing teams of electricians and fitters. Previous roles include Shift Fitter and Apprentice at Scaw Metals from January 2003 to April 2010, where duties encompassed machinery installation and foundational mechanical and electrical engineering training. Thiathu holds a Project Management degree from the University of Cape Town (2015-2017) and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Jhb Tech College (2003-2005), with a Matric Certificate in Mathematics and Science from Tshiawelo Secondary School (1996-2000).
