Jianshi Yao

Jianshi Yao is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project financing and operations management. Currently serving as Country Lead at the New Development Bank since January 2017, Jianshi Yao leads national operations, develops project pipelines, and oversees project appraisals and implementation. Previous roles include Executive Assistant to the Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at NDB and Business Operations Manager at Google, where operational support was provided for the Google Home product line. Jianshi Yao has also held positions at China International Capital Corporation, IFC - International Finance Corporation, and the State Grid Corporation of China, where responsibilities ranged from transaction management to global energy strategy development. Jianshi Yao holds an MBA in Finance from Duke University and master's and bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University.
