Chris Williams is a seasoned expert in marine socio-economics and fisheries management, currently serving as the UK fisheries expert at the International Transport Workers' Federation since February 2021, while also holding the role of Associate Fellow and Senior Program Manager at the New Economics Foundation since December 2011. Chris has extensive experience in community economic development, capacity building, and fisheries research, having previously worked as a Marine Adviser at Natural England, focusing on stakeholder liaison and EU legislation for protected areas. Additional roles include Project Manager at Quest & ScottWilson, and various leadership positions in marine conservation projects across Mozambique and Honduras. Chris holds a Master's degree in Environment and Development from King's College and multiple undergraduate degrees in Biology, Anthropology, and Ecology.
