Enda Grimonia is currently a Policy & Advocacy Associate at New Energy Nexus in Indonesia. Prior to this position, Enda worked as a Research Intern at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences from January 2021 to March 2021, where they worked on permselective nanocomposite membranes. Enda also has experience working in renewable energy, having served as Head of Competency Development at Society of Renewable Energy from June 2020 to August 2021. In this role, Enda led and managed division staff, assisted in collaboration with other divisions and external hubs/NGOs related to renewable energy topics, and helped develop impactful renewable energy courses for an estimated 300 students and locals.
Before their work in renewable energy, Enda spent a year studying abroad as an exchange student at Kumamoto University in Japan from September 2019 to March 2020. Upon their return to Indonesia, Enda worked as a UI/UX Designer at Reblood from September 2020 to November 2020. They also spent time as a Program Officer at Reblood from July 2019 to August 2019.
Throughout their various positions, Enda has developed strong research, policy, and advocacy skills that they have put to use in their current role at New Energy Nexus. In this position, Enda is responsible for leading and coordinating the organization’s policy and advocacy efforts in Indonesia. This includes conducting research on energy policy issues, engaging with policymakers and other stakeholders, and developing and implementing advocacy strategies.
Enda Grimonia received a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya. They also participated in an undergraduate exchange program in engineering at Kumamoto University.
