Dora Posfai is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in molecular genetics and microbiology. At New England Biolabs since April 2019, Dora serves as Associate Director of Research Cores and Group Leader of the Sequencing Core Facility, where notable contributions include the development of novel library preparation techniques for RNA-sequencing. Before this role, Dora completed a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at Duke University, focusing on Plasmodium liver stage biology through transcriptomic approaches. Dora's research career began as a Student Researcher at the University of Richmond, studying the evolutionary development of the Pax/Six gene regulatory network in the freshwater sponge, Ephydatia muelleri.
