Jennifer Ong is an accomplished scientific professional with extensive experience in molecular biology and nucleic acid replication. Currently serving as the Scientific Director and previously as a Senior Scientist at New England Biolabs since October 2006, Jennifer leads a group focused on engineering DNA polymerases through mutagenesis, design, and selection. Prior to this role, Jennifer worked as a Staff Scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2004 to 2006 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cambridge from 2000 to 2004, where Jennifer also earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology. Jennifer's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis, obtained in 1999.
