New England Board of Higher Education
Lou D'Allesandro has extensive experience in public service and education. Serving in the New Hampshire State Senate since 1998, Lou holds the positions of Dean of the Senate, Chairman of the Capital Budget Committee, and is a member of the Finance and Ways and Means Committees. Additionally, Lou has been the Vice Chairman of the New England Board of Higher Education since 1998, focusing on enhancing educational opportunities in the region. From 2007 to 2016, Lou served as an Adjunct Faculty member at St. Anselm's College, where responsibilities included lecturing on public policy and government. Lou's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of New Hampshire, a Master's in Education with a focus on Administration from River University, and completion of Programs for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard Kennedy School.

NEBHE promotes greater educational opportunities and services for the residents of New England. In pursuit of this mission, we work across the six New England states to: -Engage and assist leaders in the assessment, development, and implementation of sound education practices and policies of regional significance. -Promote policies, programs, and best practices to assist the states in implementing important regional higher education policies. -Promote regional cooperation and programs that encourage the efficient use and sharing of educational resources. -Provide leadership to strengthen the relationship between higher education and the economic well-being of New England.
