Andrea Gouze

Director, Pastoral Care at New England Sinai Hospital

Andrea Gouze has a diverse work experience that includes roles as a Rabbi, Director of Pastoral Care, and Judaic Studies Coordinator and Teacher. Andrea started their career as a Rabbi at Temple Shaare Tefilah in 2002 and worked there until 2015. Andrea then joined New England Sinai Hospital in 2002 as a Rabbi, later becoming the Director of Pastoral Care in 2004. Andrea joined Temple Beth Emunah in 2016 as a Rabbi and has been in that role since. In 2012, they also took on the role of Judaic Studies Coordinator and Teacher at the Jewish Community Day School of Rhode Island, where they worked until 2020.

Andrea Gouze completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Jewish/Judaic Studies at the University at Albany, SUNY from 1975 to 1978. Andrea then pursued a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree at the Wurzweiler Graduate School of Social Work from 1981 to 1983. Lastly, they attended the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, where they earned a MaH.L. degree from 1979 to 1985. No specific field of study was mentioned for their master's and doctoral degrees.
