Michael Lowe

Michael Lowe, CPA has extensive experience in various roles related to technical accounting and reporting. Michael currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Technical Accounting and Reporting at New Fortress Energy, where they are responsible for global financial reporting, SEC reporting, statutory reporting, and debt covenant compliance. Michael also leads the technical accounting function, including setting accounting policies and conducting deal reviews.

Prior to their current role, Michael worked at PwC for over a decade, where they held several positions in the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS) division. As a Director, they provided technical accounting expertise to clients nationwide, assisting them with SEC filings, including pro-forma disclosures and carve-out financial statements. Michael also provided guidance and training on the new revenue recognition standard. As a Manager, they continued to offer technical accounting support for clients, and as a Manager/Senior Associate/Associate, they focused on providing assurance services to technology and software clients, including auditing complex transactions such as software revenue recognition, debt modifications, and stock-based compensation.

Michael Lowe, CPA has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee. Michael also holds a Master of Accountancy degree, specializing in Assurance, from the same institution. Michael Lowe is also a Certified Public Accountant, certified by the AICPA.
