Danika Nunes

Danika Nunes has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. In 2016, they began their career as a Geotechnical Lab Technician at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation before transitioning to a role as an Engineering Field Technician at Terraprobe Inc. Later in 2017, they worked as a Quality Control Inspector at the City of St. Catharines. In 2018, Danika worked as a Geotechnical Engineering in Operations Support Mining at Syncrude Canada Ltd. Danika then joined Jacobs in 2019 as a Geotechnical and Tunnel Intern. From 2020 to 2022, Danika worked at CN, where they held positions as a Geotechnical Engineering Trainee, Engineering Management Trainee, and Jr. Geotechnical Engineer. Currently, they are employed as a Project Coordinator (EIT) at New Gold Inc.

Danika Nunes attended the University of Waterloo from 2015 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science with a focus in Geological Engineering. In addition to their academic achievements, they also hold various certifications including Smart Serve Certified from Smart Serve Ontario (obtained in April 2020), Ontario Scholar from the Ontario Ministry of Education (obtained in June 2015), Secondary School Diploma from the Ontario Ministry of Education (obtained in June 2015), and Standard First Aid, CPR C, and AED certification from St. John Ambulance Ontario (obtained in May 2019).
