Senior Mine Engineer at New Gold

Josh Parsons has a diverse work experience in the mining industry. Josh started their career as a Student Mine Engineer at Goldcorp Inc in May 2012 and worked until January 2013. Following this, they joined Goldcorp Inc again in May 2013 as an Underground Helper for a period of four months. In August 2014, they moved to New Gold Inc. where they held the position of Mine Planning EIT until March 2015. From March 2015 to December 2015, they worked as a Mine EIT on the C-Zone Feasibility Project. Josh then transitioned to the role of Mine EIT - Production Planner from January 2016 to January 2018. Most recently, they have been employed at New Gold Inc. as a Mine Engineer - Long-Term Planning since January 2018 and was promoted to Senior Mine Engineer in February 2020.

Josh Parsons completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mineral Resource at Dalhousie University from 2009 to 2013. Josh also pursued a Bachelor's degree, diploma, and co-op program in Mineral Resource Engineering and Engineering at Dalhousie University, Halifax NS. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Professional Engineer from the Engineers and Geoscientists BC, although the specific month and year of obtaining the certification are not provided.
