Marcus Paiero

Marcus Paiero is a professional in the mining sector currently serving as a Mine Engineer in Training at New Gold Inc. since May 2023. Previously, Marcus held the position of Mine Planning Technician at New Gold Inc. from February 2022 to December 2022, where responsibilities included designing and optimizing mine layouts and collaborating with various departments to improve operational efficiency. As a student at BCIT, Marcus was the President of the Mining Engineering Club and captained the school's Canadian Mining Games team. Prior experiences include a Mine Planning Co-op at New Gold Inc., customer service at TD, and managerial roles in the restaurant industry. Marcus holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Minor in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University, alongside completing studies in Mineral Exploration and Mining at BCIT.
