Matthew Davis

Matthew Davis is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in tailings and water management. Currently serving as the Tailings and Surface Superintendent at New Gold Inc. since January 2016, Matthew leads a team focused on completing a significant construction project to elevate the site tailings facility. Prior to this role, Matthew worked as a Project/Tailings Engineer at New Gold from 2012 to 2016, providing engineering support for capital projects to enhance mining operations. Earlier experience includes nearly nine years as a Project Engineer at Urban Systems Ltd., where Matthew specialized in municipal engineering, including water and sewage system projects across British Columbia. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Environmental Co-Op and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematical Sciences from the University of Alberta.
