Matthew Kormendy

Matthew Kormendy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in mobile maintenance planning and project management across various industries. Currently serving as the Mobile Maintenance Planner at New Gold Inc. since June 2022, Matthew previously held key positions at Baffinland, where responsibility included leading the Mobile Maintenance planning team as a Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner and Continuous Improvement Specialist. Prior roles include Mobile Maintenance Planner at Newcrest Mining/Imperial Metals, ensuring effective maintenance planning for high-valued mobile equipment, and Project Manager roles in the construction industry, where successful project delivery was prioritized. Matthew has also contributed as a Board Member for the Southern Interior Construction Association and as an Account Manager at Aon, managing diverse client portfolios. Academically, Matthew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Thompson Rivers University and a degree in Construction Operations/Supervision from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
