Thomas Mongeon

Tom is a former nonprofit Executive Director/CEO and former Fortune 100 high tech executive. His experience includes change management, building organizations, leading diverse teams of professionals and managing highly complex projects. From 2013 to 2018 Tom led a NH nonprofit comprising 38 volunteer senior executives and professionals who donated their business expertise to help other NH nonprofits statewide. Prior to that Tom held management positions at GE, Honeywell, United Technologies and the world’s largest distributor of semiconductors. He was a Lead Analyst at ISO New England, the regional transmission (electric grid) operator. He also worked in the engineering department at an electric utility and earned his license as a Professional Engineer in Electrical Power. Tom is currently a consultant, adjunct graduate professor and conference speaker on leadership, governance, strategic planning and executive coaching.

Tom earned a master’s degree in Engineering Management (the engineer’s MBA) and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; both from Western New England College. He participates in continuing education courses to maintain his license as a Professional Engineer in Electrical Power.

Tom’s nonprofit and community service began 34 years ago while in college and has ranged from volunteer to board director, vice president and chairman. He is an outdoorsman with a lifelong commitment to our environment, to New Hampshire, and to community service.

The New Hampshire Electric Cooperative (NHEC) is a member-owned and controlled electric distributor serving 84,000 members in 115 towns and cities. They maintain over 5,500 miles of energized line that traverse nine of the 10 counties in New Hampshire. Headquartered in Plymouth, the Cooperative serves members in nine operating districts: Colebrook, Sunapee, Andover, Plymouth, Meredith, Conway, Alton, Lisbon, Ossipee, and Raymond.
