Ian Williams

Ian Williams is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple sectors. Currently serving as Director and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee at New Hope Group since November 2012, Ian also holds the position of Chair at NEX Building Group and Lindsay Australia Ltd, as well as Advisor at Mitsubishi Corporation and Kokusai Pulp & Paper. Additional roles include Director positions at Stoddart Group and National Group, and a directorship at Baseball Australia. Ian is a Partner and Senior Advisor at Herbert Smith Freehills and has been the Vice-President of the Australia Japan Business Co-operation Committee since August 2006. Ian's academic background includes degrees in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford, as well as Bachelor degrees in Laws and Economics from the University of Sydney.
