David Allen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of art direction and creative direction. David started their career in 1990 at Outside magazine, where they worked as a keyliner and eventually became the art director. During their time there, the magazine won numerous awards for excellence. After their tenure at Outside, David worked as a creative director at Ziff Davis, Skiing Magazine, and Warren Miller's SNOWORLD magazine. David then freelanced as an art director at Inspirato before joining Outside again, this time as the art director for Triathlete and Women's Running magazines. Most recently, David worked as an art director at New Hope Network and did freelance work as the art director for Rotary International's redesigned magazine. Throughout their career, David has demonstrated their expertise in art planning, design execution, and photo and assignment management.
David Allen has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design and Photography from Ball State University. In addition, they obtained a certification in Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn in May 2021.
